2026 - Ramadhan Donation

Al-Waasi Charity Foundation successfully organized a Ramadhan Iftar & Suhoor Food Distribution on Saturday, 21 February 2026 at our offices in Kisaasi-Bahai Road, Kisaasi, Kampala. This formed part of their ongoing humanitarian efforts to support vulnerable community members during the holy month of Ramadan.

2025 - End of Year Charity Drive, Kamuli

On 28th December 2025, Alwaasi Charity Foundation conducted a heartfelt end-of-year charity drive at Masjid Tahuwa in the Namukunyu community of Kamuli District, Uganda, aimed at providing essential relief to vulnerable families as they entered 2026. Warmly welcomed by the local Imam, the team—led by Shk Osama Ssemanda who delivered an inspiring keynote speech—was met with an overwhelming turnout that far exceeded expectations. Despite being able to fully serve only about 70% of those present, the drive successfully supported 40 families with vital food packs (5kg maize flour and 2.5kg beans each), clothing, and donated 10 Holy Qurans to the mosque to strengthen religious education.

2025 - Community sensitization Walk

We recently embarked on an inspiring community walk through the vibrant streets of Kisaasi, Kampala, to sensitize residents about our ongoing mission rooted in the Islamic teachings of compassion, Zakat, and the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) exemplary acts of kindness. Team members engaged directly with locals, sharing how we uplift underprivileged communities by supporting orphans, vulnerable children (including those with special needs and disabilities), single mothers, and families through education, healthcare, clean water projects, humanitarian aid, and mosque-related Dawah efforts. The walk sparked meaningful conversations, raised awareness about the challenges faced by marginalized groups, and invited community members to join us in acts of charity—reminding everyone that small steps of solidarity can create lasting change.

Qurban 2025: Spreading Joy and Support Across Uganda

We conducted a heartfelt Qurbani campaign during Eid al-Adha in Uganda, distributing fresh meat to thousands of families in need. With the generous support of our donors and over 50 committed volunteers, we provided nutritious Qurbani meat packs to orphans, widows, and underserved communities across Uganda, ensuring they could share in the blessings of Eid.

2025 Visit to Zaitun Orphanage

Our journey continued to Zaitun Orphanage, located near the Kabaka’s Palace in Kireka, Kampala. Here, we supported 60 students, including 20 orphans aged 5 to 17.

2025 August - Visit to Markaz Orphanage

In Bombo, our team visited the Markaz Haafizhu Ibun Hajari Orphanage, where we activated support for 105 orphans. The visit was filled with warmth and care as we distributed essential supplies, including rice, sugar, cooking oil, sweets, juice, and snacks.

2025 - Visit to Bweyale community

The orphanage was successfully activated with the presence of donors. Food supplies were distributed, including rice, sugar, cooking oil, sweets, juice, and snacks. A total of 105 orphans benefited from this visit and donation drive.

2025 - Mityana Community Iftar Distribution

Alwaasi Muslim Charity recently conducted a meaningful outreach in Luwero, where we distributed essential food items and other supplies to those in need. As part of our commitment to both physical and spiritual well-being, we also joined the community in prayer, fostering a strong sense of unity, compassion, and shared faith during this impactful visit.

2025 - Luwero Orphanage Iftar Distribution

In Ramadan 2025, we distributed Iftar meals to those in need across in Luwero. Our mission brought nourishment and joy to families, orphans, and individuals facing food insecurity, providing nutritious Iftar packs with essentials. These efforts fostered community, compassion, and hope, embodying the spirit of Ramadan.

2025 - Mulago Iftar Outreach Program

On 12th March 2025, Al Waasi Charity Foundation conducted a humanitarian initiative at Mulago Women's Specialized Hospital, aiming to support vulnerable patients and their families. This initiative involved the distribution of 31 hamper boxes, which were carefully packed with essential food items.

2025 - HAMPER Iftar Distribution

In line with our ongoing commitment to support the community and provide assistance during the holy month of Ramadan, our organization successfully carried out an Iftar food distribution initiative. This initiative was aimed at ensuring that 350 families, who are in need, received nutritious and sufficient food items for their Iftar meals.

2025 - Outreach to Aljuhan

on June 15, 2025, a successful outreach to Al Juhan Orphanage Centre in Luwero was accomplished to improve their standards of living.

2025 - Zakat

The Zakat Cash Assistance Project was successfully conducted on June 10, 2025, at our Head
Office in Kampala, reaaching 49 families and individuals with dignity and compassion, and also on
June 15, 2025, a successful outreach to Al Juhan Orphanage Centre in Luwero was accomplished
to improve their standards of living.

2024 - Visit women with special children

In a heartwarming display of compassion and community support, the Alwaasi Charity team recently visited courageous women caring for children with special needs in Kawempe(Kampala). Guided by the Islamic principles of charity and empathy taught in the Holy Quran and the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) acts of kindness, we shared essential supplies, offered words of encouragement, and listened to their inspiring stories of resilience and unconditional love.

2024 - Empowering mothers at Mukisa Foundation

In a spirit of solidarity and Islamic compassion, Alwaasi Charity Uganda recently visited the inspiring community at Mukisa Foundation, where we focused on empowering single mothers raising children with special needs. Drawing from the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on kindness to the vulnerable, we conducted hands-on skills training sessions to build their economic independence—covering practical income-generating activities—and provided small startup capital to help launch sustainable ventures

In a heartwarming display of community support and Islamic charity, Alwaasi Charity Uganda recently held a special distribution event at Answar Muslim Primary School in Jinja.
