In the spirit of Ramadan’s boundless mercy and generosity, Al-Waasi Charity Foundation joined hands with our valued partners at I&M Bank to bring the blessing of Iftar and Suhoor to our Sudanese refugee brothers and sisters in Gayaza.
This heartfelt initiative reflects our shared commitment to supporting vulnerable communities during the holy month. May Allah SWT reward every hand that contributed— from the donors and sponsors to the dedicated volunteers who made this possible. Ameen.

On this blessed occasion, Al-Waasi Charity Foundation, in collaboration with I&M Bank, successfully organized a targeted Iftar and Suhoor food distribution for Sudanese refugee families in Gayaza.
The event was carefully planned to provide essential relief to those who have faced immense hardship, allowing them to observe their fast with dignity, peace, and nourishment. Attendees were welcomed in a warm, compassionate atmosphere filled with smiles, unity, and the true essence of Ramadan—sharing and caring.
This partnership underscores the power of coming together to uplift those in need, ensuring that no one breaks their fast alone.
Each beneficiary family received a thoughtfully prepared food package containing staple items such as:
Rice
Maize flour
Beans
Sugar
Oil
These essentials were selected to support both Iftar (breaking the fast) and Suhoor (pre-dawn meal), helping families sustain their worship throughout the month.
Our team of committed volunteers worked tirelessly to pack and distribute the packages, reaching as many families as possible. Beyond the food, the gathering fostered a sense of community, hope, and solidarity. Families shared stories of resilience, reinforcing the spirit of empathy, generosity, and brotherhood that Ramadan inspires.
We extend our deepest gratitude to I&M Bank Uganda for their generous support and partnership in this noble cause. Their commitment to standing “On Your Side” extended beautifully into supporting vulnerable Muslim communities during this sacred month.

This initiative specifically reached Sudanese refugee brothers and sisters in Gayaza—individuals and families who have sought safety in Uganda amid ongoing challenges.
By focusing on this community, we aimed to ease their burdens during Ramadan, ensuring they could focus on spiritual growth rather than daily struggles for sustenance.
