Ramadan Convention Program

Program Overview

Inspired by the Holy Quran’s call to spread knowledge and the prophetic mission of Prophet Mohammed, Al Waasi Charity’s Ramadan Convention Program hosts an annual one-day conference at the start of each year to educate and inspire both Muslims and non-Muslims in Uganda. Since 2018, this program has brought together diverse audiences and influential Muslim leaders to share the message of Islam, promote interfaith harmony, and strengthen community ties.

Our Objectives

  • Spread Islamic Teachings: Provide a platform for learning about Islam’s values of peace, compassion, and unity through engaging talks and discussions.
  • Foster Interfaith Dialogue: Invite believers and non-believers to build mutual understanding and respect across religious communities.
  • Inspire Positive Change: Empower attendees to apply Islamic principles in their lives and contribute to their communities.
  • Engage Influential Voices: Feature respected Muslim scholars and leaders to deliver impactful messages that resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Inclusive Outreach: We actively invite Muslims and non-Muslims, including community leaders, youth, and local organizations, to participate and engage in meaningful dialogue.
  • Educational Content: Sessions cover topics such as the significance of Ramadan, Islamic ethics, interfaith cooperation, and practical ways to embody compassion and charity.
  • Community Engagement: We provide opportunities for networking, cultural displays, and interactive activities to foster a sense of unity and shared purpose among attendees.
