Answar Muslim Primary School in Jinja faced severe shortages: students lacked mattresses to sleep on, basic scholastic materials were in short supply, and the food situation was unstable.
Despite the determination of the teachers and staff, the school struggled to provide even the most essential needs for its growing number of pupils.
Our Approach: Immediate Relief through Strategic Partnership
Through a blessed partnership between Alwaasi Charity and Salam Charity Foundation, we delivered targeted assistance:
- Mattresses to provide comfort and dignity to boarding students.
- Scholastic materials — notebooks, pens, and other essentials — to equip every learner.
- Food supplies to stabilize meals and improve student well-being.
Our approach focused on delivering immediate, life-enhancing support to ease the daily hardships faced by both students and teachers.
The Outcome: A Step Forward, A Longer Journey Ahead
The donation brought immediate relief — students now have mattresses to sleep on, their own learning materials, and better meals.
However, significant challenges remain, especially in the area of infrastructure. Classrooms are overcrowded, facilities are worn down, and the learning environment is still far from ideal.
A strong foundation has been laid, but more help is urgently needed to rebuild and expand the school’s infrastructure so that the children of Answar Muslim Primary School can truly thrive.
