EDUCATION: THE KEY TO EMPOWERMENT

At Alwaasi Charity, inspired by the Prophet Mohammed’s acts of charity and the teachings of the Holy Quran, we believe every child deserves love, security, and opportunity. Our Child Sponsorship Programme supports orphans at centres like Sisu and Al-Johan in Uganda, providing holistic care including food, clothing, education, and spiritual guidance when families cannot.

In 2025, our supporters enabled aid for hundreds of orphans through regular outreaches, including distributions of foodstuffs and mattresses to Al-Johan Orphanage in Luwero. These gifts ensure children stay healthy, in school, and rooted in faith — breaking cycles of poverty.

Your monthly sponsorship transforms lives. Start from UGX 180,000/month and be part of their story.

Case Study 1

Kiburara Primary School Transformation

In rural Kasese, Kiburara Primary School’s crumbling classrooms left over 200 vulnerable children — many from Muslim families — without proper learning spaces, risking their futures.

Alwaasi initiated a full rebuild: four modern classrooms, clean water systems, latrines, books, and desks. Community leaders joined in, ensuring sustainability.

Now, attendance soars, illnesses drop, and children like those in Class 3 excel, breaking poverty’s grip.

Annual sponsorship cost per child: UGX 1,080,00

Case Study 2

Relief at Answar Muslim Primary School

Answar Muslim Primary School in Jinja battled shortages: no mattresses for boarders, scarce notebooks, and unstable meals for growing pupils.

Partnering with Salam Charity Foundation, we supplied mattresses, pens, notebooks, and food packs — immediate boosts for learning.

Students now rest well and eat steadily, but infrastructure needs remain. One teacher noted: “Our children can focus on dreams now.”
